Occupational Therapist

Position Overview:

We are seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team in Le Sueur, MN, providing skilled nursing care to patients in need of rehabilitation and long-term support. This role offers an exciting leadership opportunity for the right candidate.

• Full-time preferred (30+ hours/week)

Job Responsibilities:

• Patient Care: Assess, develop, and implement personalized treatment plans to help residents regain independence.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of patient evaluations, treatments, and progress.
• Functional Training: Focus on ADLs (Activities of Daily Living), mobility, and adaptive techniques to enhance patient outcomes.
• Collaboration: Work closely with an interdisciplinary team of nurses, physical therapists, speech therapists, and physicians.
• Family Education: Provide training and guidance to patients’ families and caregivers.
• Supervision: Oversee Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) in accordance with state regulations.
• Operational Support: Contribute to maintaining high standards of care and efficiency within the SNF therapy department.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s (B.A., B.S.), Master’s (M.A., M.S.), or Doctorate (OTD) in Occupational Therapy.
• Licensure: Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program; must possess or be eligible for state licensure in Minnesota.
• Skills: Strong communication skills, compassionate patient care, and a collaborative mindset.
• Experience: New graduates are welcome! Experience in SNF or geriatric care is a plus but not required.
