Memco Atlanta is seeking an Experienced CDL Driver - Atlanta, GA

Full-Time/Mon - Fri, some Saturday's

7am - 5pm/Long-term

$21 - $25/hr

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable, experienced, and skilled CDL Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safely transporting goods while adhering to traffic regulations, company policies, and safety standards. You will be responsible for operating a commercial vehicle to deliver goods efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate commercial vehicles (tractor-trailers, box trucks, etc.) to transport goods to designated locations.
• Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
• Follow all state and federal driving regulations and traffic laws, ensuring safety and compliance at all times.
• Plan routes effectively, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing delays.
• Secure cargo in the vehicle to prevent damage during transit.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding delivery updates, delays, or any other issues.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and hours worked.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance, such as checking oil, tires, brakes, and other essential systems.
• Ensure that all required documentation (such as delivery forms, logbooks, etc.) is completed accurately.
• Adhere to company policies, including safety protocols, and demonstrate professionalism while interacting with customers.

Qualifications:

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B.
• Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations.
• Must be able to pass a drug test
• Prior knowledge of GDOT reporting
• Excellent knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle long hours on the road.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain focused for extended periods.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam.
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time and drive long distances.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50+pounds.

A pre-employment drug screen will be required for all positions
