Job Description

Responsibilities include:

  • Direct, organize, and supervise Upper School Academic Teams and, in collaboration with the Director of Community Engagement programming, all Community Engagement events ;
  • Lead Peer Leadership programming in collaboration with the Director of Counseling and Wellness and the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
  • Supervise the Student Government and RaiderHouse advisors in developing and implementing signature student life programming and events;
  • Support the Associate Dean of Students for Character Education in supervising and implementing a character-based and relational Behavioral and Honor Codes that inspires student growth and faculty support and collaboration;
  • Serving on the Upper School Council and Student Support Team
  • Teaching two academic classes in the Upper School each trimester.

Qualifications: 

Prior teaching and leadership experience in an independent school are required. In addition, the successful candidate will exhibit the following skills and qualities:

  • A bachelor’s degree; advanced degree preferred;
  • A vision for preparing students to thrive in a world of constant change, encompassing a global perspective, character and skills development, and a sustaining love of learning;
  • A collaborative and respectful approach in working with all school constituencies.

  • Excellent technology skills and experience integrating technology into the curriculum;
  • Familiarity or experience with online instruction including the use of Zoom meeting technology.
