Salary Range: $39,000 - $69,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform various welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick) on metal components according to specifications.
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and welding symbols to determine project requirements.
• Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, grinding, cutting, and shaping as needed.
• Inspect finished welds for quality, integrity, and adherence to industry standards and codes.
• Maintain welding equipment, tools, and work area in a clean, safe, and organized condition.
• Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, policies, and procedures during welding operations.
• Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components using welding techniques and hand tools.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in various welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick) for different materials.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
• Strong understanding and adherence to welding safety protocols and proper use of PPE.
• Certification from an accredited welding program (e.g., AWS Certified Welder) or equivalent on-the-job experience.
• Physical dexterity, stamina, and visual acuity to perform welding tasks in various positions.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, sche schematics, and welding symbols.
• Experience with metal fabrication, fitting, and grinding techniques.
• Familiarity with quality control procedures and various measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
• Certification or experience operating forklifts or overhead cranes.
• Basic maintenance and troubleshooting skills for welding equipment.
