Sr Digital Consultant Location Cincinnati, OH (Central Business District area) :

Overview:

Summary of Responsibilities:

Executes web content and projects related to internal and external websites, email marketing initiatives, including the management of brand and development, distribution strategy, contact database management, SPAM requirements and compliance with the Marketing & Digital Center of Excellence (M&DCOE) best practice standards for format and cross browser/platform compatibility.

Implements and executes initiatives related to digital marketing strategies on behalf of the Business Units. In conjunction with the M&DCOE, develops reports that provide email statistics, digital metrics and web analytics. Works under minimal supervision and is responsible to independently make a range of established decisions, escalating issues to Manager as appropriate..

Responsibilities:

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provides strategic execution for digital marketing initiatives.

  • Stays apprised of compliance and legal requirements and ensures digital efforts adhere to Western & Southern and industry regulations.

  • Develops reporting criteria that displays email statistics, digital metrics and web analytics in a logical format.

  • Develops insightful business recommendations, while ensuring effective creative development and execution.

  • Leads acquisition and retention efforts planned to drive traffic to website and grow email distribution lists

  • Supports Mobile or MobileApp initiatives.

  • Supports sales and marketing initiatives by administering database lists.

  • Acts as project coordinator for website enhancement projects by coordinating with stakeholders.

  • Stays up to date on competitor websites and business practices, identifying opportunities for enhancements.

  • Maintains relationships with stakeholders to continually solicit sales feedback and input on website usability.

  • Supports and executes business strategy for social media initiatives.

  • Builds and preserves relationships with external vendors where appropriate.

  • Coordinates timelines for web updates with the Information Technology group and M&DCOE.

  • Coordinates with M&DCOE for creative design and development of both the visual and functional elements for the purposes of digital marketing.

  • Converts sales materials, newsletters and other print communications into appropriate electronic formats.

  • Serves as content manager for internal and external websites using Web Content Management System (CMS) technology.

  • Collaborates with M&DCOE to manage CMS system, implement new features and resolve issues.

  • Determines priorities and continually evaluates level of support required to complete requests.

  • Interacts with and understands production and review chains.

  • Represents the Enterprise at applicable industry conferences or groups.

  • Works independently to stay current on industry and marketing best practices.

  • Proactively pursues self-development on a continual basis.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Selection Criteria:

  • Proven experience working in a similar function within a financial services company preferred, including an insurer, bank, brokerage house, mutual fund or third-party marketer.

  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge of web-based sales and marketing processes, as well as knowledge of investment products and services.

  • Proven background and understanding of the latest technology concepts, practices, procedures and trends in digital, web and email marketing techniques and resources.

  • Demonstrated web user interface skills with in-depth understanding of web applications and web user interface architecture.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact and communicate with all levels of staff and management.

  • Must cite examples of organizational skills and methods used to manage and prioritize workload demands.

  • Demonstrated experience identifying and quantifying problems and providing effective resolutions.

  • Demonstrated experience maintaining a calm and professional demeanor when handling demanding situations, such as prioritizing multiple tasks with critical target dates, dealing with demanding customers and participating in discussions with limited prep time.

  • Must cite examples of independent decision-making and self-initiative.

Work Setting:

  • This position works in an office setting and requires being in a stationary position for long periods of time frequently while working at a desk, on a computer or with other standard office equipment, or while in meetings. Position requires frequent movement of wrist, hands and fingers for continuous computer work.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or commensurate selection criteria experience.

Computer Skills and Knowledge of Hardware & Software Required:

  • Advanced knowledge of various Internet browsers and email applications (Exact Target).

  • Knowledge of graphic design applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and file formats for supporting IFS Companies Creative Services.

  • Proficient knowledge of web authoring tools for implementation of email distribution through SalesForce Marketing Cloud.

  • Knowledge of current web technologies.

  • Proficient in web-based databases management for list organization.

  • Advanced knowledge of Open Text Website Management content management software.

  • Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software applications.

  • Ability to work on both PC and MacIntosh platforms.

Certifications & Licenses (i.e., Series 6 & 63, CPA, etc.):

  • None required.

Position Demands:

  • Extended hours required during peak workloads or special projects.
