Job Description

We are looking for polsh speaking Sound& Light Technician for cruise ship.

Boarding date: December 2025

Contract duration: 3/3 or 4/2 months

ROLE DESCRIPTION — Sound & Light Technician

Job scope Entertainment Technician

Reporting to Entertainment Manager

Responsible for To operate the technical aspects of the entertainment program in all

lounges and bars onboard the ship.

Role Overview To be a competent technician with an extensive knowledge of sound,

lighting and AV equipment.

Specific Responsibilities

To set up, operate and strike equipment for all entertainment events including but not limited to; Musicians sets, Light Entertainment formats, Cabarets, Deck Parties, Destination talks, visiting lecturers, visiting Guest Acts, Local shows, Resident led events.; Perform occasional DJ duties including Karaoke; Compile and update inventories of entertainment technical equipment.; To compile fault reports in accordance with the CCS fault reporting procedure; To carry out minor repairs of entertainment technical equipment as directed by VVR/CCS head office and/or the Entertainment Manager; To assist the Entertainment Manager with technical aspects of uploading the daily program onto the digital screens; To participate with fire, safety and lifeboat drills as required and directed; To attend Entertainment meetings; To carry out all performance responsibilities to the high standard expected by VVR/CCS; To carry out any other reasonable duties as directed by VVR/CSS; To assist the Entertainment Manager and team with on-board events and activities as required - primarily in the evenings;

Qualifications and experience

Confident technical ability in all aspects of sound, lights and AV; Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment onboard a ship; STCW and medical certificates as required by the ship;

Key Competencies:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.; Ability to manage time effectively and be adaptable;
