Description Scrum Master - Job Description Open Dealer Exchange (ODE), an affiliate of Reynolds and Reynolds, is seeking a
Scrum Master to join the Digital Transformation Office within our headquarters in Southfield, MI. As a Scrum Master, you will manage multiple projects and ensure the Scrum Team's effectiveness by enabling improvements within Agile Methodologies. The ideal candidate will have experience in Agile Methodologies and Project Management practices, capable of coaching and educating others, and facilitating successful project delivery. Responsibilities - Define Project Scope and Objectives: Determine and define the project scope, objectives, and milestones to ensure clear goals and deliverables.
- Develop and Manage Project Schedule: Create and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan to track progress and ensure timely completion of milestones.
- Identify and Manage Risks: Recognize and manage potential risks and liabilities across multiple projects, adjusting strategies as needed to stay on the critical path.
- Communicate Project Updates to Stakeholders: Provide consistent updates to stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress to ensure alignment.
- Apply Industry Best Practices: Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards to manage the entire project lifecycle effectively.
- Lead Agile Practices and Scrum Teams: Lead the Project/Scrum Team in applying Agile methodology and project management best practices for successful execution.
- Coach and Mentor Team Members: Support team members in self-management and encourage cross-functionality to enhance team performance and collaboration.
- Ensure Productive Agile Ceremonies: Oversee that all necessary Agile ceremonies are held, ensuring they are productive, focused, and kept within the timebox.
- Remove Impediments and Facilitate Problem-Solving: Address and remove obstacles that impede progress, while coaching the team on how to remove impediments independently.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders to Ensure Customer Satisfaction: Work closely with the Product Owner, Scrum Team, and other stakeholders to deliver high customer satisfaction through collaboration and effective project execution
Requirements Job Requirements - Understanding of the Project Management Institute (PMI) framework and its application in project management.
- Proficiency in various project management methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a proven track record of leading teams effectively.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills to foster collaboration and resolve conflicts.
- Ability to make critical decisions quickly and effectively under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to address challenges creatively and efficiently.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to build strong relationships across teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience in Software Development
- Scrum Master Certification (Scrum Alliance certification preferred).
Desired Skills - 2-5 years of experience leading a Project and/or an Agile Team
- Background in software development or as a Technical Business Analyst (BA).
- Proficiency in using Microsoft 365 tools
- Experience delivering detailed procedural training.
