Position: Senior Vertex Consultant (SAP Finance Specialist)

Duration: 6 Months

Location: 100% Remote

Summary: We are looking for a seasoned Senior Vertex Consultant with an extensive background in SAP Finance to join our innovative team. This role demands over 10 years of experience in deploying and supporting Vertex solutions within sophisticated SAP ecosystems. As a pivotal member of our team, you will deliver strategic guidance, foster best practices, and ensure seamless integration between Vertex solutions and SAP Finance modules. You'll also lead projects, mentor junior team members, and champion client satisfaction with tailored, high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee end-to-end lifecycle management of Vertex implementations and upgrades within SAP Finance frameworks.
• Architect, configure, and deploy Vertex solutions addressing complex tax determination and reporting challenges.
• Provide expert functional and technical support across Vertex O Series, Vertex Indirect Tax Returns, and related modules.
• Seamlessly integrate Vertex solutions with SAP Finance modules, including FI-GL, FI-AP, FI-AR, SD, and others.
• Craft and maintain comprehensive documentation such as technical specifications, test plans, and training materials.
• Diagnose and resolve complex integration challenges between Vertex and SAP.
• Execute system testing, user acceptance testing, and deliver robust post-implementation support.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams comprising SAP Finance, IT professionals, and business stakeholders.
• Stay ahead of evolving Vertex and SAP technologies and industry best practices.
• Mentor junior consultants and provide skill development through workshops and training sessions.
• Engage in pre-sales activities, including solution presentations and proposal crafting.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Over 10 years of hands-on experience implementing and supporting Vertex solutions within SAP Finance environments.
• In-depth expertise in SAP Finance modules (FI-GL, FI-AP, FI-AR, SD) and their integration with Vertex solutions.
• Proven proficiency in tax determination logic and rule configuration within Vertex platforms.
• Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to excel both independently and collaboratively within team structures.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies and tax compliance frameworks.
• SAP certification in Finance or relevant modules (preferred).
• Experience with S/4HANA and tax automation tools (preferred).

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Vertex Cloud solutions.
• Competence in multi-jurisdictional tax compliance and associated regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in data migration and integration techniques.
• Consulting experience with a commitment to client satisfaction and value delivery.
