Job Description
- Monitor and analyze media coverage and public opinion, sharing timely market insights to internal stakeholders.
- Manage the development of company messaging and communications plans on pertinent topics impacting ESMC’s business and reputation, including issues-management strategies, reactive media and stakeholder statements, FAQs, and other communications and public policy deliverables.
- Serve as a point of contact with key external stakeholders including the media in the local site community (Saxony).
- Drive positive coverage of the site and local engagements, including developing stories and content for internal and external use to the company through local pitches.
- Manage pressure points to avoid potential issues.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the management team for the local public image.
- Serve as communications advisor in site emergencies.
- Partner with HQ team to understand when the corporate story takes priority over local stories and ensure alignment with global media and branding guidelines.
- Drive a proactive approach to identifying emerging issues that may impact ESMC in the future.
