The schedule is for day shifts only on Thursday and Friday, 9 am to 6 pm. The clinic is closed for lunch from 1 pm to 2 pm. Malpractice insurance provided includes tail coverage. Job Requirements: Must have an active California Nurse Practitioner License. Must have or be able to obtain an active Furnishing License and DEA registration within 120 days of hire. Must have or be able to obtain BLS Certification within 10 days of hire. Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred, but not required. Must be or become proficient in utilizing medical equipment and technology relevant to the role (e.g., DME, EMR (eClinicalWorks), etc.). Elite Providers are responsible for: Using medical training, skills and clinical judgment to provide timely, responsive care to treat a multi-cultural patient population. Conducting comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and conditions Working independently, contacting offsite collaborating physician as needed regarding patient care. Personalized treatment of patients, ensuring care is relevant for short and long term outcomes. Seeing all scheduled and walk-in patients each day (approximately 5 to 15 patients daily). Prescribing medications and treatments based on patient needs and in accordance with practice guidelines. Providing patient education on disease prevention, treatment options, and self-care techniques. Utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) to document patient encounters and maintaining accurate medical records using eClinicalWorks.
