Summary Of Duties

Position Purpose: The Molding Floater operates up to 20 injection molding machines for production. They
inspect, label and package product in compliance with work instructions and customer requirements.

Quality:

• Follow all packaging and sorting processes in the Molding Work Instructions (MWI)
• Visually check all product for defects every 2 hours
• Communicate with manufacturing personnel of any defects or concerns with product and document on the visual logs

Packaging and Sorting:

• Fan sort all product for quality defects
• Create product labels
• Restock all packaging needed for jobs

Operate Injection Molding Machine:

• Understand the basic knowledge of the injection molding machine
• Maintain cycle times to ensure customer delivery dates are met

Cleanliness:

• Keep work area clean per company housekeeping standards

Safety:

• Understanding the basic safety procedures

Other duties as needed

Qualifications / Experience

Required

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Good communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. occasionally
• Ability to stand and work on feet for up to three hours at a time

Desired

• Knowledge of visual quality defects
• Introductory Delmiaworks ERP System (IQMS)
