As a Medical Billing and Coding Specialist , you will play a critical role in helping families access essential therapy services by managing insurance claims, Medicaid and private insurance billing, and ensuring that claims are processed accurately and efficiently . Your work will directly impact our ability to provide care to children who rely on these services for their growth and development.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage insurance billing for Medicaid, private insurances, and other funding sources.
  • Verify patient eligibility and benefits before services are rendered.
  • Submit claims in a timely and accurate manner to ensure prompt reimbursement.
  • Follow up on denied or rejected claims , identifying and correcting errors to maximize approval rates.
  • Communicate with insurance companies to resolve discrepancies and obtain necessary authorizations.
  • Work closely with families to explain billing details, assist with financial questions, and provide clarity on insurance coverage.
  • Maintain accurate financial records , process payments, and track outstanding balances.
  • Ensure compliance with Medicaid regulations, HIPAA guidelines, and company policies.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in medical billing , medical coding, insurance claims, and reimbursement processes (preferably in pediatrics or therapy services).
  • Knowledge of Medicaid and private insurance billing procedures, including CPT codes, prior authorizations, and appeals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to handle claim rejections and denials efficiently.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial record-keeping.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills , with a compassionate approach to working with families.
  • Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office applications.
