This Investment Analyst position supports the Director, Investments in managing a $1B+ fixed income portfolio, the Other Post-Employment Benefits Trust, and related reporting. The role involves trade settlement, portfolio analysis, performance monitoring, report preparation, and external relationship management with brokers and fund managers. This is a hybrid position requiring a minimum of three days on-site per week in the Tri-State area.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in trade settlement, reporting, and analysis of fixed income investment portfolios.
- Support Captive Insurance Company investment portfolio management.
- Prepare and track reporting and fee payments for Other Post-Employment Benefits Trust Funds.
- Monitor fund onboarding and performance.
- Assist with portfolio rebalancing and attend review meetings.
- Support external relationship management with brokers, fund managers, consultants, and advisors.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual investment reports for senior management and state/public agencies.
- Validate market value of internal security holdings monthly and report discrepancies.
- Prepare documentation for investment-related audits.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (B.A./B.S.) in Management, Finance, Engineering, Accounting, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Well-organized, customer-focused, and responsive work style.
- Ability to prioritize, plan, and deliver timely results.
- Advanced analytical skills (Excel), able to interpret large data sets and complex tasks.
- Experience or aptitude with ERP and/or Treasury management software/databases.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Advanced degree or MBA.
Special Considerations:
- Candidates must be local to the Tri-State area and work as W2 hourly employees.
- A minimum of three days on-site per week is required; fully on-site work may be required based on business needs. No fully remote positions are available; remote privileges can be revoked if requirements are not met.
- No paid holidays, vacation, or sick days; compensation is for time worked only.
- Overtime is not permitted unless pre-authorized.
- Candidates must disclose visa status/foreign national status if applicable.
- Completion of Benefits Waiver and Ethics Disclosure is required during onboarding. NYPA provides desktops/workstations for remote work; candidates must have adequate personal equipment/internet access.
Scheduling:
Monday to Friday, 7.5-hour workday with a 0.5-hour unpaid lunch.
