This dual-role position is perfect for someone who thrives on both strategy and execution—actively seeking and securing new construction opportunities, preparing competitive estimates and proposals, and then owning project execution with excellence. You’ll manage budgets, timelines, subcontractors, and client communication to ensure we deliver top-tier HVAC systems on time and on budget. This is a pivotal role for someone who wants to grow with a locally owned, high-performance team that’s setting the standard in our industry.

ABOUT US:

At Cline’s AC, we don’t just install HVAC systems—we set the standard for quality, expertise, and customer satisfaction. As Spokane’s most reliable HVAC company, we have been serving homeowners, businesses, and contractors since 1988 with a commitment to excellence that goes beyond just getting the job done. We believe in building lasting relationships, not just with our customers, but with our employees and industry partners. Our team is made up of high performers who take pride in their craft, support each other, and never settle for average. We invest in ongoing training, the best tools and technology, and a work culture that values accountability, growth, and teamwork. At Cline’s, we offer competitive wages, career advancement opportunities, and a company culture that feels like family. Whether it’s a company BBQ, team outings, or simply celebrating wins together, we believe in creating an environment where people love to work.

If you’re looking for a company that values excellence, integrity, and the pursuit of being the best, Cline’s AC is the place for you.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Proactively identify and pursue new construction HVAC opportunities in residential and light commercial markets
  • Perform detailed take-offs and develop accurate cost estimates for bids and proposals
  • Prepare and submit professional bid packages in a timely and competitive manner
  • Collaborate with builders, general contractors, architects, and vendors during pre-construction
  • Manage awarded projects from start to finish, ensuring delivery on time and within budget
  • Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to execute project plans
  • Track project milestones, job changes, and overall progress while maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders
  • Identify and document all change orders, ensuring they’re communicated through proper channels to protect against liability and avoid “he said, she said” scenarios
  • Conduct jobsite visits to monitor quality, troubleshoot issues, and maintain accountability
  • Maintain thorough and organized project documentation, including contracts, change orders, schedules, and billing
  • Provide leadership with consistent updates on job status, bid pipeline, and financial forecasting
  • Represent the company with professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to delivering best-in-class HVAC solutions

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of experience in HVAC estimating, project management, or related construction roles
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, mechanical codes, and installation practices
  • Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and technical documents
  • Experience preparing detailed bids, take-offs, and change orders for residential and/or light commercial new construction
  • Excellent project management skills—able to manage multiple jobs, budgets, schedules, and subcontractors simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate with GCs, builders, vendors, and internal field teams
  • High attention to detail with a process-driven mindset and documentation discipline
  • Proficiency in project management and estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, ServiceTitan, or similar)
  • Ability to identify scope gaps, jobsite risks, and prevent liability through accurate change order tracking and documentation
  • Must be organized, dependable, and solutions-focused
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
