Job Philosophy:
You are one of the hosts of The Party and the primary demonstrator of the Killer Burger Way: always seeing the store through “restaurant eyes” and ensuring the store is clean to standards. When you lead a shift, you make sure your crew is informed and on task. When you’re not leading a shift, you’re leading by example, rocking your station, upholding company policies and procedures. You do all of this to make sure the customers are happy. In everything you do for Killer Burger you are an ambassador of our brand. You will work to support the Training Coordinators & the General Manager.

Killer Burger is a dream inspired by the burgers served in Midwestern old-school roadside diners that were the All-American oasis for hungry and tired interstate travelers. That dream became a reality when Killer Burger founder TJ came to Portland, OR and could not find a burger that measured up to the ones he cherished eating as a child at those diners with his family. This was 2010 and the Great Recession was pressing down on the nation with full force. TJ remembered how his family ate at those diners not only because they were on the road a lot but because they were affordable. They were restaurants run by ordinary people to serve ordinary people. But the burgers? They were extraordinary.
TJ was determined to recreate the simple comfort of those memories, so he set up a grill in his garage, poured a few beers, turned up some classic rock, and started creating the burgers of his childhood with his friends. It was during these times that he not only perfected the classic diner burger but created a whole menu of epically crave-able burgers. TJ wanted to share these burgers with the city, so he built a restaurant around them and focused on the singular goal of serving perfect burgers at an affordable price. Especially when many people were feeling the heavy burden of a struggling economy; this was a place where people could come to spend a little and get a lot. And so, Killer Burger was born. We started with a commitment to serve perfect burgers to the world and we have advanced into a company that is also focused on the growth and development of its people and business. Our goal is to be the most fun job our employees will ever have. Many team members stay with us for years because they believe in our vision and love being part of the Killer Burger culture.
