Summary of What you Will be Doing

• The field technician's core responsibility is to provide on-site technical supervision of the installation or repair of equipment.
• Provide support for mechanical inspections, shop inspections, spare parts, and aftermarket.
• Traveling frequently. Some travel will be short notice. Some travel will be long term (longer than 1 month). Travel will average 60% time away from home.
• Providing a strong focus on safety and quality must be ensured and demonstrated to our customers.

Required Skills

• 2 years of experience with associates degree in Mechanical Engineering, or 5 years of experience with a different technical degree.
• Experience and knowledge of heavy industrial mechanical systems such as mechanical drives, power transmission, bearings, etc.
• Experience with presence at industrial job sites where activities such as lifting (up to 50lbs), heavy machinery, safety, and planning were utilized.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical and structural detail drawings.
• Familiar with the use of technical measuring equipment and an understanding of manufacturing tolerances.
