Summary:

Canales & Co., a brand-building Brand & Interior Design studio in Austin, TX, is seeking a project manager to run point for the studio and spearhead projects for iconic and growing regional and national brands. This is a great opportunity for an organized project manager passionate about branding and design.

The Canales & Co. Project Manager will partner with all staff and disciplines and have a large impact on the studio. Because we are small and nimble, the Project Manager will have exposure to multiple functions and have the opportunity to showcase and build their expertise in project management, client management, studio manager for Interiors and general Account Service for both Brand & Interiors.

This role is a hybrid between in-office and remote. Job Description:

The project manager at Canales & Co. manages both Brand and Interior Design projects from kickoff to delivery. They collaborate with management to form the best approach to answer clients’ needs and oversee the team to ensure the execution of projects meets requirements and exceeds expectations.

Our project manager should be a source of knowledge and stability for our team, a problem solver, and a remover of obstacles. This person should have confidence, be exceptionally detail-oriented, have an understanding of the business of branding/ interior design, and an ability to establish rapport easily. Specific Duties:

  • Develop and maintain both Brand & Interior Design project plans, briefs, timelines, and shepherd execution
  • Monitor execution of project not only to ensure schedule and scope are being met, but that integrity of design, brand guidelines, and/or brief are being upheld
  • Identify project risks and project opportunities. Mitigate risk and socialize opportunities.
  • Champion the project serving as main point of contact with clients and workflow manager with team
  • Represent project status, schedule, and logistics internally and to clients with finesse; coordinate internal and external presentations; provide summaries, next steps and action items as needed
  • Track and report financial status of projects; assist in forming budgets, tracking burn and hard costs
  • Assist with studio promotion, including helping with scheduling posts/content development as a workstream
  • Be a fail safe so things don't fall through the cracks; ensure quality of deliverables by assisting in proofing process

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • 3+ years experience in project management role in an agency or design studio environment
  • Familiarity with Design and Branding process. An awareness of Interior Design processes is a plus but not required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Bias for action, self-motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented
  • Experience scoping new projects
  • Ability to communicate studio capabilities to clients
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high volume, deadline-driven environment with professionalism
  • Innate curiosity to effectively navigate ambiguity, ask the right questions, & problem solve
  • Leadership to take on challenges, establish & enforce processes, & inspire change where needed
  • Ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects and responsibilities
  • There is a remote-work component to the job, but there are in office days required

Compensation based on experience.
