*Pay Range:* AJCR $1,208-$1,344 per credit hour and in accordance with the adjunct table and determined based on relevant years of work experience.

*Position Summary:* The Department of Anthropology at Johnson County Community College is seeking a diverse pool of applicants for up to two part-time, adjunct faculty positions. The ideal candidate or candidates will be expected to teach one to three sections of Cultural Anthropology or World Cultures. Other duties expected of part-time faculty include meeting for scheduled office hours, implementing course assessment of student learning outcomes, and other duties as assigned.
The candidate must be able to teach on-campus during the day; MWF from 8:00-2:00 or TR 8:00-2:00, beginning Spring 2026. Teaching assignments are subject to change as needed.
*Required Qualifications:*
* Master's degree in Anthropology or Master's degree and 18 graduate credit hours in Anthropology and related experience.
* Proficiency with Canvas or other LMS. Strong communication skills.
* Ability to teach introductory courses in Cultural Anthropology.
*Preferred Qualifications: *
* Ph.D. in Anthropology. Desire to mentor students through independent study and Honor's Program. Previous or on-going research experience.
* Demonstrated knowledge of academic culture.
* Documented successful teaching at the college level.
* Ability to synthesize advanced anthropological concepts and relate these to introductory students.
